Scoil Iosef Naofa
Located three miles from Lahinch in Moy, County Clare, Scoil Iosef Naofa is a good example of the innovative national school design originally prepared by Basil Boyd Barrett in the 1940s. The water tower gives a good counterpoint to the horizontal emphasis of the fenestration and streamlined elevations treatment. The brief called for additional classrooms as well as additional staff accommodation and extensive refurbishment to the existing school. The project is awaiting approval from the Department of Education.
